WASHINGTON, D.C.

The capital city of the United States, Washington, DC is a beautiful and interesting city. It tells a history no other city in the U.S. can tell through the marches, protests and the political events that have occurred here throughout the years. It is filled with significant monuments and memorials like the one honouring the Vietnam War and also the famous Arlington National Cemetery where you can visit the Kennedy Gravesites. But, a visit to Washington wouldn’t be complete without arriving on Capitol Hill to take in the sites and visiting the core of the U.S. Government. You can visit the Congress from the Rotunda, the Halls of the Senate, House of Representatives and the Supreme Court. And, most famous of all is the White House which is well worth the visit.

LAS VEGAS, NEVADA

Las Vegas is like no other place on earth. Built in the middle of the Nevada dessert with a shady history, it has become the most sought after place for adult entertainment. You can bet on your favorite sports team, play the tables or spend hours at the slot machines. There are the shows and glitzy entertainment, the underground malls, the restaurants and lounges and the unbelievably extravagant architecture of some of the world’s most beautiful Hotels. LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA

Los Angeles is the second largest city in the USA, but is the largest metropolitan centre on the West Coast. L.A. includes many well-known communities like Anaheim where Disneyland is located, Hollywood, the place where movies were born and Beverly Hills which is famous for their movie star residents and Rodeo Drive – where the wealthy come to shop. California has a warm tropical climate most of the year and has many miles of white sandy beaches that are great for sightseeing, biking, roller blading or just for taking a leisurely walk along the ocean. The famous “California Surf” is located near many scenic attractions like the grand coastline of Big Sur, the alpine wilderness of the Sierra Nevada Mountains and the beauty of the Mojave Desert. California has it all from the glitz of Hollywood to the muscles of Venice Beach or the family fun at Disneyland – there is definitely something for everyone.

SAN FRANCISCO, CALIFORNIA

Another great city in California is San Francisco. It doesn’t have the warm climate that Los Angeles has and it is a smaller city than Los Angeles, but it is a very scenic city geographically and aesthetically. Beautiful old Victorian style homes line the streets overlooking the bay surrounded by rolling hills and mountains. San Francisco is divided into small neighborhoods like popular Nob Hill, Chinatown, Pier No. 5 and the hippy neighborhood along Haight & Ashbury Streets. Historic cable cars still ascent the steep streets and the magnificent Golden Gate Bridge spans the Pacific Ocean inlet. It is less than an hours drive to Napa Valley and the Sonoma wine regions for some of the best wineries in the world. San Francisco is a romantic city with a lot of culture, great geography and everything else that comes with a popular U.S. city.

THE GRAND CANYON, ARIZONA

The Grand Canyon is one of the greatest natural wonders of the world and absolutely well worth the trip. The Canyon is a mile deep (1,500 metres) and over 15 miles (20 kilometres) wide by 100 miles (150 kilometres) long. From the North or South rim of the Canyon, you can stand and look for miles into this long, winding, narrow canyon with its different rock formations, unusual colours and cliffs. As the sun rises and sets along the canyon, it produces a breathtaking display of rock layers best seen from the South rim. The only access to the inside of the canyon, down to the bottom, is either by riding mules down the steep trails or by hiking, something that is not recommended as a day trip.
